Training Customer FAQ


How will I register and take Mercury Classes after the acquisition?
There will be no changes to the Mercury Customer Education program until Nov 2007. You will do everything excactly the same as you have in the past.

I have prepaid for Mercury Training, will I be able to apply this money for training on HP classes and vice versa?
We don't know the answer to this at the moment, but we are researching the answers and will update this FAQ list as soon as possible.

Will there be any changes in locations and pricing for Mercury courses?
No, it will be pretty much exactly as it has been in the past.

Will HP continue to offer courses on new Mercury products and new product releases?
Absolutely!

Will I still be able to attend Mercury training at Mercury Certified Training Partners locations?
Yes

How will I register and take Mercury Classes after acquisition?
There will be no changes to the Mercury Customer Education program. Until the end of the current program period everything is the same.

Will HP/Mercury continue to offer Mercury product certification?
Yes. Both the Mercury Specialist Certification and Certified Professional Consultant (CPC) will remain active and in continuous development. Mercury and HP will work together to "level-set" their Certification programs to ensure consistent Certification levels, tracks and credentials.

How can I find out about the latest Mercury/HP Certification offerings and news?
Visit the Mercury Certification website at http://www.merc-training.com/main/US/certification.

Will Mercury certifications be recognized by HP?
Yes. However, both Specialist and CPC holder credentials will remain associated with current Mercury products and current Mercury certification levels.

Will the Mercury Certification exam Centers and Locations remain the same?
Yes. All of our current Mercury Testing Centers will remain open for exams.

Will Mercury certification pricing change?
Mercury certification pricing will remain the same until further notice.

Will my existing certification benefits change?
You will be entitled to the same benefits of Mercury Certification as you always have been. We expect that over time these benefits will increase.

Will I need to re-take an exam to maintain my Mercury certification?
No. Your existing Mercury Certification is valid and no exam re-takes are necessary.

Can I continue to take Mercury certification exams as I always have?
Yes. You can still visit merc-training.com and register for Mercury exams.

Training Partner Questions


Will the acquisition by HP change any of the new enablement programs enacted in July?
There will be no changes to the Mercury Alliance Program until the end of the current program period. During the interim period, partners will continue to have access to all program benefits. Your main contact (as listed on Mercury Confidential) will receive product updates on a regular basis.

Will HP/Mercury continue to offer Mercury product certification?
Yes.

Will Mercury certifications be recognized by HP?
Yes

Will I continue to have access to the Mercury Learning Management System and taking classes as usual?
Yes

What changes will happen in the Certified Training Partner (CTP) Program?
There will be no changes to the Mercury CTP Program until the end of the current program period which is Sept 15, 2007

As a Mercury Certified Training Partner will I have the right to offer HP courses?
For this program period, your agreement is with Mercury only.

I am an HP partner, can I apply my standard HP discounts toward Mercury Customer Training and vice versa?
Not at this time.
