Course Description:
This course describes how HP Virtual Connect Enterprise Manager (VCEM) centralizes connection management and workload (profile) mobility for HP BladeSystem servers that use Virtual Connect to access LANs, SANs and converged network infrastructures.
Target Audience:
Administrators, engineers and consultants who will plan and manage the configuration of HP ProLiant BladeSystem c-Class network connectivity and blade servers
Objectives:
By the end of the course, you should be able to:
• Understand the capabilities in VCEM
• Design a VCEM solution
• Install Virtual Connect Enterprise Manager
• Perform VCEM operations
- Create VC Domain Groups
- Add VC Domains
- VCD Maintenance (enables operations directly through VCM)
- Upgrade VCDG firmware mode
- Create VC profiles
- Edit profiles (update, assign, unassign)
- Remove profile
• Troubleshoot VCEM
Prerequisites:
Before you take this course, you should have knowledge of, or experience with:
• Virtual Connect and the Virtual Connect Manager, as well as HP SIM
